On December 6, 2024, a
group of 27 students from Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
(School of Electrical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence) at Xiamen
University Malaysia, accompanied by their lecturers, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr.
Wong Shen Yuong and Dr. MohammadMahdi Ariannejad visited MIMOS Berhad. This
visit offered the students an exceptional opportunity to gain practical
exposure to the real-world applications of their academic studies.
The primary objective of
the visit was to deepen student’s understanding of semiconductor fabrication
and device engineering processes. The agenda included a company tour where the
students were introduced to advanced equipment and cutting-edge technology.
They also engaged with industry experts and observed the meticulous procedures
followed in cleanroom environments. This hands-on experience served to bridge
the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industry practices,
enhancing their comprehension of semiconductor technology and its vital role in
